Dragon's Den first opened its doors in September of 2017 in Uncasville, CT. Jessie Luna is the owner and artist of Dragon's Den, and was driven to open up her own shop with the need to create a friendly, welcoming environment that primarily focused on tattoos as fine art. After graduating Eastern Connecticut State University with a Visual Arts degree, the business was planted in the summer and had blossomed in the fall.

In 2020, I took on my first apprentice, Gretta. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful and talented soul that learned how to tattoo so quickly so well! Giving Gretta her license and working with another artist every day has motivated me even more to expand the business and evolve.

In May of 2021, the shop was able to expand to Manchester, CT to a bigger space and a more central location to get more involved in the community and work with other local artists and businesses.

In 2022, Alison joined to team as a Shop Manager and Apprentice. I'm so grateful to have such a caring and helpful (and hilarious) queen to help me run everything effectively and efficiently and tattoo by my side.

I truly have many people to thank for being able to create custom, original artwork every day. My teacher, Fame Montalvo, from Eminence Ink taught me how to tattoo. I am also blessed to have such a loyal following of clients who have kept me alive through it all. If it wasn't for them there would be no business at all, and I am also thankful that so many clients also became friends. I appreciate you all!

Many friends and family also helped in the start of it all and in expanding and I would have never been able to do this if it wasn't for everyone's helping hands.

Many other artists who have contributed their crafts and artwork to Dragon's Den are also to thank, and I hope you come check out our gallery and enjoy your time here!

Love,

Jessie Luna
